Goose Shooting & Wildfowling Holidays in Orkney, Scotland
Visit Orkney to experience the natural history delights of some of the largest concentrations of wintering wildfowl in Europe.
Every morning and evening the skies are filled with the sites and sounds of thousands upon thousands of geese. Due to warmer winters, and the ideal feeding grounds, the numbers are increasing annually as they continue to over winter on Orkney.
Most morning flights will take place over decoys, as the geese come to the fields to feed. The geese are often in smaller family groups which may give the guns many opportunities during each flight. Evening flights can be the most exciting because of the varied species that can be shot. At our fed flight ponds Graylag and Pinkfoot are just as likely as a variety of ducks.
