Goose Shooting - Terms and Conditions

1. BASC Membership, Insurance and Indemnity
The customer must maintain his BASC membership and Five million pounds (£5,000,000.00) public liability insurance cover and to notify Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling immediately if membership or insurance of both are discontinued or suspended for any reason.

The customer must indemnify Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling against all claims, proceedings, costs and expenses arising from the exercise of the shooting rights.

2. Compliance Matters
The customer shall at all times:-

  1. exercise the shooting rights safely and strictly
  2. respect the land and all growing crops, livestock and equipment on it from time to time
  3. abide by all relevant BASC Codes of Practice

All shooting with Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling takes place over private farmland and shooters are asked to respect the farmers’ property and equipment.

As with any shoot involving wild birds, Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling cannot provide customers with any guarantee as to the amount of birds retrieved on any one day.

3. Safety
Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling accept no liability for loss, damage  or personal injury during any shooting activity. It is mandatory for customers to strictly adhere to the points raised in the safety briefing.

4. Disclaimers and Insurance
A Disclaimer must be signed prior to participating in shooting activities. It is paramount that customers recognise that there is an element of risk associated with the shooting activity. It is advisable that you arrange your own personal injury insurance.

5. Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is to be paid upon confirmation of the booking for each member.

6. Alcohol and Drugs
Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling reserves the right to refuse participation to clients they believe may have been or are still under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

7. Agreement
Any booking made with Orkney Goose Shooting and Wildfowling is booked in accordance with these terms and conditions.
